- Welcome to Buddy's DogBlog. Butterscotch, or Buddy for short, is a cavoodle - a cross between a Poodle and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Sometimes these dogs are called cavapoos or cavadoodles. Cavoodles are a hybrid of two dog breeds that have been deliberately crossed, or "purpose-bred", to create a great family pet. And Buddy is definitely the ideal kind of dog for us!
